Thanks to Eurogamer, we now know what the story of Epic Mickey really is. As rumored a few months ago, the story involves the older characters of the Disney universe rising against their newer rivals. Leading the crew is Oswald the Rabbit, Walt’s first character, who releases “the Phantom Blot” (who interestingly enough is also a Disney character) and washes away the colors of the Magic Kingdom.
He doesn't seem like the vengeful type…
The part I wasn’t so excited about, the controls, have also been confirmed. You’ll use the Wiimote to control Mickey draw your way through the stage, and erase the goo left behind by the Phantom Blot. Still, I’m getting more excited for this game. In a way, it seems like a mix between Okami and Super Mario Sunshine.
Additionally, Mickey is reportedly receiving a “retro” redesign, which piques my interest, in the “I wonder what that means” sense. I’m looking forward to seeing what other info comes out about this game.
