Before I get in trouble for falsifying quotes – that is not an exact quote. However, it’s not that far off from what the official Adobe Snow Leopard Compatibility FAQ says. In it, they assure you that CS4 has been tested on Snow Leopard, that it works fine, and that they will continue to test it as updates continue to come out. It also says:
Q. Will older versions of Adobe creative software—such as Adobe Creative Suite 3 or Macromedia® Studio 8 software—support Mac OS X Snow Leopard (v10.6)?
A. Older versions of Adobe creative software were not included in our testing efforts
I’m not expecting a patch to fix any issues CS3 has with Snow Leopard, but it certainly would be nice to know before I upgrade (not that I have any CS3 products besides Photoshop Elements 6, and I’m not really sure if that counts). Hopefully someone will be able to let us know if you can use CS3 products on Snow Leopard when it launches this Friday.
Also, I don’t know much about Flash, but it worries me that in the blog post linked above, it says “everything is good with the exception of auto-updates to Flash panels (which I guarantee you’re not using)”. Perhaps it is an incredibly useless feature, but it seems off to me that they would say that.

I’m running CS3 and CS4 on OS X 10.6.1 and both crash constantly. I was able to reduce the number of crashes by applying updates, but it’s still ridiculous how unstable things are. I’m seriously thinking about downgrading to 10.5!
Ouch, really? That’s kinda ridiculous that not even the one they claimed was compatible is compatible.
I’ve held off on upgrading to Snow Leopard for at least a little while… Until some of the launch issues are ironed out.
Good plan. It took Apple 3 weeks to release the first update. Should be another 3 weeks for the next update. I would suggest waiting 2 update cycles.
I just tried cleaning up my font caches. I’m going to try to flush out plugins next. Fingers crossed that something improves stability.
