I don’t normally start off a review by saying my opinion of a program, but I’ve got to say it: I don’t particularly see the point of Picturesque.

I mean, sure, it makes your pictures look attractive, and it’s pretty good at doing things in batches, but really, what good is that? Batch resizing (the thing I see being most helpful to the average consumer) can easily be automated with a Automator script easily found with Google.

I’m not gonna lie, I did have quite a bit of fun playing around with some of the sliders, but didn’t last for long. And now that the fun is over, I don’t see what useful things I can do with it.

And that’s why I can’t really suggest Picturesque for anyone.

Hits: Fun to play with, easy to learn, makes pictures pretty
Misses: No point, Costs more than something like this should

Final Score:

When you get to a four, you know it’s getting bad. Not only does this piece of software not stand out from the crowd, but something about it makes it worse than the average Joe.
