Hmm, interesting… A graph showing a measurement of people using the iPod Touch’s Safari browser. Well, it seems pretty norma– Whoa, what is that sharp spike?
Apparently, a lot of people got the iPod Touch for the holidays, and are having a lot of fun playing with it. Developers of $.99 apps have reported earning up to $25,000 on Christmas Day alone. Gadget Lab seems to think that this indicates a whole new trend, where Apple has reinvented the UMPC.
While I don’t have as much history in technology reporting, I have to disagree. I’m sure that the trend indicated above would ring true for almost every popular toy or gadget – if Tickle Me Elmo had an internet connection, there would be a spike there as well.
