That’s right, the popular post-nuclear war game just got pirated and it isn’t the one without DRM. It isn’t even a PC game. Nope, instead, the victim of this incident of copyright infringement is the Xbox 360 version of Fallout 3, which just went gold yesterday. Assumed to have been obtained at a manufacturing plant, the 6.52 gigabyte file is appearing at torrent and file hosting sites across the net. These sites have apparently already been sent a cease and desist by Bethesda, who, when contacted by Joystiq, refused to comment on the debacle.
For those of you who are looking forward to purchasing it legally (as everyone should), the $60 game will hit PCs and 360s October 28th.
